Gather your Ingredients
3/4 cup of boiling water
1/4 cup salt
1 tbsp. cream of tartar
1 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 tbsp. glycerin (optional) although makes it shiny
1.25 cup all purpose flour
Colouring – natural fruit juices (enough to create your desired colour)
Making the dough
Measure the boiling water and set it aside.
Place the rest of the ingredients in a bowl and whisk, mixing thoroughly well.
Measure the water using your dry measuring set and add it to the bowl, giving it a quick mix with a wooden spoon. Set the dough aside to cool for about 5 minutes.
The mixture may seem wet and sticky, as you dump it on the counter.
Knead the dough thoroughly until it is cooled, smooth and squishy.
