Gather your Ingredients

3/4 cup of boiling water

1/4 cup salt

1 tbsp. cream of tartar

1 tbsp. vegetable oil

1 tbsp. glycerin (optional) although makes it shiny

1.25 cup all purpose flour

Colouring – natural fruit juices (enough to create your desired colour)

Making the dough

Measure the boiling water and set it aside.

Place the rest of the ingredients in a bowl and whisk, mixing thoroughly well.

Measure the water using your dry measuring set and add it to the bowl, giving it a quick mix with a wooden spoon.  Set the dough aside to cool for about 5 minutes.

The mixture may seem wet and sticky, as you dump it on the counter.

Knead the dough thoroughly until it is cooled, smooth and squishy.
